What is Shakespeare-in-Action?

Join our 10-month programme from September 2024 to June 2025 and dive into the world of English drama. You'll read, analyse, and perform Shakespeare's delightful comedy "Much Ado About Nothing," following the romantic entanglements of two couples.

This exciting programme includes a professional theatre show and backstage tour, drama workshops, auditions, rehearsals, and a grand joint-school finale performance at a professional venue. It's open to primary and secondary school students who are interested in learning Shakespeare through English drama.

Spotlight Shakespeare English Drama Programme

October to March students will embark on an exciting 24-hour English drama training course led by an experienced drama tutor. Over six months, they'll learn to perform Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." The program includes free costumes and simple hand-held props, making it a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.

Play-in-a-day

Schools can choose from two of Shakespeare's plays, which will be brought to life by professional drama tutors. In just one day, students will participate in drama workshops, engage in rehearsals, and put on a final performance. This immersive experience is designed to be both educational and fun, providing students with a unique opportunity to explore Shakespeare’s work in a dynamic and hands-on way.

Transformation Through Creativity Drama Classes

Transformation Through Creativity ran from 2018 to 2023 and was funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. It has now evolved into S4A's programme, Spotlight Shakespeare English Drama Programme.
