Apply nowWhat is Shakespeare Showtime?
- A 1-year free English drama programme to 20 primary and secondary schools
- Students will be experiencing an hour of English drama performance performed by professional actors, followed by a post-performance workshop
- Teachers will receive an hour of training workshop exploring the relationship between drama and teaching.
After the school touring show, 10 schools will be selected to receive a 24-hour Shakespearean drama training course offered to their students from October 2025 – March 2026, in which students will have their final performance in a professional theatre during ‘Shake Fest’, a 9-day Shakespeare English Drama Festival in March 2026.

School Touring Performances & Post-Performance Workshops
(Approximately 150 student audience)
Professional actors perform an hour long English drama performance inspired by Shakespeares “As You Like It”. This aims to provide students with an experience of drama appreciation and Shakespeare’s work.
Train the Trainer
Teachers’ Training Workshop
An hour of workshop hosted by the professional English drama facilitator of Shakespeare4All. The workshop will provide insights for teachers to incorporate drama-related teaching techniques into daily teaching
Spotlight Shakespeare
Drama Training Programme for Students
(20 -25 students per school)
A 24-hour English drama training will be provided to students from October 2025 to March 2026, taught by experienced drama tutor. Students will be learning to perform the play, “As You Like It”. Free costumes and simple hand-held props will be provided.
Shake Fest
Shakespeare English Drama Festival
Spotlight Shakespeare will be wrapped up in “Shake Fest”, a Shakespeare Festival in mid to late-March 2026, where students from all “Spotlight Shakespeare'' participating schools will showcase their talent and hard work to the public through their final performance in a professional theatre.
Who can apply?
After all participating schools completed the events in Part 1 of the programme, a selection of schools will be shortlisted according to the engagement and commitment of students and teachers. By early to mid- July, 10 schools will be selected to continue Part 2 of the programme.

To apply for “Shakespeare Showtime”, please complete the Google application form below by 19th January 2025, registration results will be announced by 17th February 2025 through email.
